**About Nicola Public Fixed Income**:
As of October 31, 2023, Nicola Public Fixed Income team manages more than $1.1 billion in various mandates. The team is part of the Nicola Wealth Public Assets Group which manages over $3.4 billion in assets across both equity and fixed income mandates. Nicola Wealth as a firm manages over $14.2 billion of assets across public and private markets on behalf of its clients.

**Position Summary**:
This role will be a hybrid working model based in Vancouver or Toronto.

**As a Credit Analyst, Public Fixed Income, your key accountabilities will involve**:

- Perform in-depth research on corporate credits in the investment grade and high yield spaces.
- Actively monitor existing portfolio positions and make relative value recommendations based on a combination of bottom-up and top-down fundamental credit research.
- Demonstrate a good understanding of the risks of fixed income securities and companies.
- Participate in meetings with corporate issuers and industry analysts.
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of materials for credit, sector, or topical reviews.
- Assist with the integration of new technologies to streamline the investment management process.
- Assist in ad-hoc projects for the broader Public Assets team.
- Trade and execute in the portfolios and manage relationships with liquidity providers.

**As a Credit Analyst, Public Fixed Income, your experience and qualifications will include**:

- A minimum of 3 years experience in fixed income portfolio management and/or credit analysis.
- Undergraduate or Graduate degree.
- Proven credit due diligence and underwriting skills including research reports on specific companies and/or industries.
- Experience in portfolio risk management is considered an asset.
- Past experience trading money market and fixed income instruments is considered an asset.
- Past experience with levered mandates and/or structured credit is considered an asset.
- Ability to work with large data sets and strong technical proficiency in statistical analysis including statistical programming languages is considered an asset.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
- CFA, CA, CPA, MBA, or CBV is considered an asset.
- You are willing to work in either Toronto or Vancouver.
- You are willing to travel in North America.
- You are legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.

This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of **$80,000-$100,000** dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
