Drywall Mudder

The Construction division of Northland Properties Corporation is looking for a Drywall taper/mudder for its renovation project in Regina, SK

Reporting to the foreman, our Drywall Mudder/Taper must ensure all work is completed in compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies. They will follow project specifications and timelines, working efficiently and effectively to meet deadlines. Effective communication with supervisors and team members is essential to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency.

**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Clean and prepare surfaces.
- Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings
- Position and secure sheets to metal or wood studs or joists
- Cut and install metal corner posts to protect outside corners
- Fill joints, nail gaps, holes and cracks with the mixture using a trowel and a wide knife
- Tape over the joints using a taping machine
- Smooth off the mixture excess and allow the coat to dry
- Manufacture and install metal grids suspended from the ceiling and place panels to form acoustic ceilings and cornices.
- Mix plaster ingredients and apply, level and smooth coats of plaster using appropriate tools.
- Trowel or spray coats of stucco over the exteriors of buildings to form weatherproof surfaces.
- Smooth out the excess mixture and allow the coat to dry.
- Finish corners, angles, and create decorative designs as required.
- Cure and maintain freshly plastered surfaces.
- Mould and install ornamental plaster panels, cornices, and trim.
- Spray acoustic materials or texture finish on walls and ceilings.
- Cut and install metal and paper corner beads for protection.
- Fill joints, indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
- Tape joints using a taping machine and embed tape.
- Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids, including coffered ceilings.
- Support the growth and development of company culture and professionally represent Northland Properties
- Performs other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- +2 years of working experience as a Drywall Mudder/Taper
- Plaster trade certification, Red seal or equivalent

**Physical Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand and/or be on their feet 10-12 hours/day working in outdoor weather and/or unregulated temperatures
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and use proper lifting techniques for heavy items weighing more than 25 kilograms
- Must be able to climb scaffoldings.
