This Phantom Screens Leadership Team position is accountable for strategic sourcing, planning, leading, and controlling inbound materials activities necessary to support the delivery of the Phantom Experience to our customers. As a key member of the Phantom leadership team, the VP, Materials & Strategic Sourcing will provide leadership in the achievement of corporate and departmental goals, consistently demonstrate, and encourage in others the organization's core corporate values and champion Phantom's overall strategic vision. With a strong focus on strategic sourcing, this role will be responsible for ensuring that Phantom has a sourcing strategy that provides the best value for our customers and business and keeps Phantom in our leadership position in the retractable screen market.

The VP Materials and Strategic Sourcing is accountable for all aspects of materials costs, planning, domestic and international purchasing, receiving, inspection, raw material and purchased part inventory and replenishing materials to internal customers.

**Position Responsibilities**:
Materials Operations
- Safety and HR for the department: communication, supervision, and employee experience initiatives to promote engagement within the team
- Planning & Organizing: responsible for department strategies and tactics, budgeting, projects, and scheduling
- Raw Materials Warehousing: Managing and reviewing Inventory levels, turns, physical requirements, and processes for efficiency and reliability
- Material Handling: Analyzing physical requirements, processes, and delivery to production for efficiency
- Staffing: In collaboration with the Employee Experience team, assess workload management, career development, and succession planning for the team
- Strategic Sourcing
- Supply Chain Risk Management: ensure that the sourcing strategy secures a reliable supply of materials to the business
- Supplier Relationship Management: Responsible for the strategic evaluation, negotiation, selection, performance, relationships, required records, and long-term agreements with suppliers
- Purchased Product & Services: Manage and review BOM accuracy, minimizing costs, meeting quality and delivery in line with business requirements
- Capital Equipment: Provide leadership and insight for major capital purchases to the organization

Continuous Improvement and Quality
- Pursuit of Operational Excellence: Continuously improving the demand driven flow of customer value.
- Supplier Quality Performance: Ensuring that supplier quality performance is improving and meeting / exceeding business requirements.
- Receiving & Inspection: Responsible for quality assurance, data and supplier score carding.

Other duties as assigned
Further, this position will collaborate with other departments on efforts such as supporting customers, launching new product, efficient product changes, working closely with Product Management, implementing best practices and carrying out activities in the best interests of the organization.

**Position Requirements**:

- Communication Skills: strong verbal and written English, non-verbal, internal and external facing
- "Technology Skills: Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Windows and Office programs (especially Excel), ERP systems and typing

**Certificates / Licenses / Permits**:

- Travel may be required therefore:

- Class 5 (or higher) Driver's License (with acceptable Driver's Abstract) and access to an insured vehicle
- Ability to travel internationally as required (Passport without travel restrictions)

**Academic Requirements and Work Experience**:

- Completion any of the following post-secondary education (or equivalent): Degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration and/or related discipline
