- ROLE SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Coordinator of Information Systems and Technology, the main functions of the IST Analyst will involve more specifically the analysis, development, coordination and monitoring of systems, methods and processes in connection with, among others, processing of information by computer or other means, organization and administrative operation, and communication structures, with a view to efficient use of the College's resources.

The primary role of the Analyst - Application Administrator is to support our Skytech suite (PGI) and the Pedagogical tools used by the teachers, mainly Moodle. The Application Administration will be a team of 3 people. The Analyst will have a role to play in ensuring the integration and direction of the software suites used by the Administration (Finance, HR, etc.) and the faculty (pedagogy tools). The expertise of the different software is distributed across the team with a main and backup person for each.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

**Schooling and Experience**
- Undergraduate degree in an appropriate field of specialization (computer science, information systems, etc.) or a diploma or attestation of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Must be willing to work evenings and during weekends as required.
- Must be able to install, upgrade and troubleshoot software on desktops, laptops and mobile devices without supervision.
- Must have experience with Learning Management Software (Skytech and Moodle an asset)
- Must be willing to learn new technologies and able to adapt quickly to changes.
- A good knowledge of English is essential (written, spoken and comprehension) for user support and training and functional French is required (spoken and comprehension) for attending conferences, training and reading government material.

- MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- The incumbent is involved in the organization and in implementation of the following activities, projects and will be called upon to:
- Evaluate needs in their field of activity, collect information from users and identify potential problems. They design and develop programs and make recommendations with a view to solving identified problems.
- Coordinate and ensure program implementation and updating, make sure deadlines are respected and propose the necessary corrective steps. They document every step-in systems development and draft the specifications.
- Conduct prospective and compatibility studies and, where necessary, determine ways of integrating new, user-friendly products (hardware and software) into the College's IT processes.
- Counsel and support executive staff in the various services about the acquisition of hardware and software, organization of classrooms, distribution of tasks, and work methods and processes.
- Organize and lead, for the staff concerned, training and professional development sessions, and undertake the related evaluation and follow-up.
- Investigate the technical feasibility and safety of requested digital educational and administration tools.
- Contribute to discussions on technical considerations when planning, implementing, & evaluating new teaching & administration technologies
