We have a unique opportunity for someone who’s passionate about working in the lab and quality at the same time We have a role that is roughly 70% quality and 30% working in the environmental lab.
**DESCRIPTION: Quality And Laboratory Technician - Edmonton AB (Full Time 40 Hours per week)**
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Oversee the Primary Measurements process for their location.
- Attend and assist with monthly Operations QMS Meetings and host Internal Audit meetings for their location.
- Oversee quality operations so that work adheres to the Quality Manual, Procedures Manual, Method Manual, CALA requirements and ISO17025.
- Oversee log-in and initial storage of Proficiency Testing samples and communication with Operations regarding PT. Assist with reporting PT as required or as back-up.
- Ensure staff QMS training is conducted appropriately and documented accordingly.
- Ensure LIMS and server files are up to date - control limits, uncertainties, SOPs.
- Ensure proper document control including appropriate and confidential disposal of records.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Appropriate training, experience and/or demonstrated skill as required.
- Computer literate (MS Office, Excel, Laboratory Information Systems)
- Ability to work in a high-energy environment and handle multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of methodologies, regulations and quality management practices
- Flexible in working hours (evenings, weekends) during peak periods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, problem solving skills and ability to work independently.
