Huron Waves Music Festival 2023 programming is inspired by a theme Our Earth/My Responsibility and will be set around a unique, touring sculpture, GAIA. Most of the 2023 activities will take place in Trivitt Memorial Church in Exeter as the season will centre around the art installation. Huron Waves is committed to providing musical experiences in venues across Huron County.

Working closely with the Production Manager and Artistic Director, the Production Assistant is responsible for assisting in the execution of the Festival programming.

Their primary duties include:

- Assisting with technical elements of mounting and operating the 2023 Festival’s public programs;
- Assist in raising, maintaining and de-rigging this Festival’s unique sculptural centrepiece;
- Coordinating and assisting with entertainers’ setups;
- Assisting the House Manager towards building positive and safe Visitor Experiences at the site, including with situations that could arise resulting from high visitor traffic and unique audience needs;
- Ensuring that creative personnel receive all relevant production information with clarity and in a timely manner;
- Assisting in maintaining the site’s daily readiness for the public and for set-up for special events, including care and maintenance of specialized equipment;
- Keeping a thorough and accurate log of costs and payments related to the technical presentation of the Festival;
- Working with other colleagues who are carrying out their responsibilities;
- Representing the Festival with a high standard of professionalism in all in-house and external matters;

To be successful in this role, the Production Assistant should have strong organizational and communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and have a passion for event production and management.

As a quality work experience, this 8 to 12-week contract is exclusive to young people in post-secondary programs.

**Salary**: $15.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Exeter, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- video editing: 1 year (preferred)
