**Your Opportunity**:
Mount Washington Alpine Resort promotes adventure, lifestyle, and magnificent views. Overlooking the Coastal Mountains and Salish Sea, we have it all.
We are seeking a Resident Caretaker to live on premises and support our alpine community. As the Resident Caretaker, you will be the eyes and ears of the Resort, keeping watch over our facilities, supporting minor custodial duties, and responding to emergencies outside of normal business hours. Obligation is two hours per day on average.
The position includes year-round personal and private residence in the Caretaker’s Cabin, mobile phone and service, and use of a Resort vehicle for business purposes. Plus you are welcome to work in other capacities at the Resort or in the surrounding community.

**Responsibilities**:
- Perform after-hours patrol of all Resort buildings and parking lots
- Perform additional patrols as directed by management
- Respond to phone calls
- Respond to and document alarm calls
- Complete training as required
- Coordinate with public services to ensure overnight coverage when away/unavailable
- Respond to first aid calls for staff injuries if patrol is not available.
**Compensation**:
- $500/month paid in bi-weekly equivalents via direct deposit, less statutory deductions
- Use of a 1-bedroom residence including WIFI, electricity, and water; valued at $1000/month
- $25/hour for any additional approved out-of-scope work
- Statutory vacation pay

- You may also combine this position with others at the Resort to qualify for group medical and dental benefits.
Note, some items and perks, like housing, are taxable benefits.
**Preferred Experience & Qualifications**:
- Minimum level 1 first aid, level 3 preferred
- Class 4 Driving license with clean drivers abstract
- Familiar with “troubleshooting” basic maintenance issues
- Exceptional people skills because you will interact with many different departments and individuals
- Strong ability to multitask.
