**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Manager of IT Services, the IT Generalist’s primary focus is providing day-to-day end-user support, including remote assistance, end-user account maintenance, and IT Help Desk duties. The IT Generalist is our first level of contact for most issues and is in a position that is depended on to communicate clearly and effectively, both to internal and external contacts. Versatility and broad technical knowledge are key, as they handle a wide range of IT-related tasks.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Helpdesk Support: Provide timely and efficient technical support to end-users, addressing and resolving issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity in an Office 365 environment.
- SOC2 Compliance: Adhere to and enforce SOC2 security guidelines, ensuring the protection of sensitive information and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Routine Troubleshooting: Perform routine troubleshooting of IT-related issues, including but not limited to, hardware failures, software malfunctions, and network problems. Document and track issues to resolution.
- User Training: Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices for utilizing IT resources and ensuring data security.
- System Maintenance: Conduct regular system maintenance tasks, such as updates, backups, and patch management, to ensure optimal performance and security.

**Qualifications and Attributes**
- Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues efficiently.
- Security Knowledge: Familiarity with SOC2 guidelines and experience in maintaining security standards.
- Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide effective support to end-users.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize issues based on urgency and impact.
- Experience: Previous experience in a helpdesk or IT support role within a managed service provider environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) are a plus.
- Successful completion of a cleared criminal background check is required.
