Guelph, Canada Skin Cancer Screening Clinic Full time

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our Skin Cancer Screening Clinic staff. This position requires expertise in basic patient care, charting, medical terminology, and various healthcare settings.

**Duties**:

- Provide direct patient care in accordance with established care plans and protocols
- Assist with medical procedures and examinations
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date records
- Educate patients and their families on health management strategies
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times

**Skills**:To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, laboratory procedures, and equipment
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Accuro
- Experience in providing patient care across various settings including acute care, senior care, assisted living, and home care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Compassion and empathy towards patients and their families
- Dermatology background a definite asset. Online dermoscopy course must be completed within 3 months of start date.

**Requirements**:

- Valid registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in Ontario
- CPR certification
- Clear criminal background check
- Must have excellent command of the English language both verbal and written (will be assessed if selected for interview)

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 36 per week

- Bachelor's Degree (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- LPN/RPN (required)
- Nursing (required)
