Residential Carpenter

Since 1968, Mulholland Construction Company has been building and renovating homes and recreational properties throughout the South Georgian Bay area. Centrally located in Port Severn, Ontario, we service an area from Simcoe County in the south, to Muskoka in the north. We build custom homes & perform renovations of all types including major renovations, additions, kitchen & bathroom remodels, and more

**Responsibilities**
- Ability to perform the following tasks independently to a high standard of quality & efficiency: Demolition & Cleanup, Concrete Work, Framing, Insulation & Drywall, Painting & Staining, Tile & Flooring, Trim & Doors, Exterior Finishes (windows, siding, roofing, soffit, fascia, eaves)
- Read architectural plans and build to specs
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Supervisor to ensure job efficiency
- Complete tasks in a timely manner, above industry standards.
- Assist the site supervisor by organizing, directing and supervising employees engaged in specific functions on construction projects
- Unlock and lock work sites at the beginning and end of each workday
- Responsible for maintaining the highest standards of workplace health and safety and supervising the safe practices of a small team in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
- Work with trades and subcontractors to accomplish project goals
- Ability to hold people accountable to their work and goals in a supportive manner

**Required Skills/Qualifications**
- 3-5 years of experience in the field of residential construction
- Minimum one year in a Supervisory role
- Must have steel toe boots and hard hat
- Must bring basic pouch & accessories
- Boating license an asset
- Must have valid driver’s license & access to vehicle
- Positive attitude and a great work ethic
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to take instruction as well as instruct others
- Responsible, motivated and interested in learning new skills
- Can work comfortably in a team or independently
- Precision work without close supervision
- Ability to recognize potential problems; report and address them in a timely fashion
- Working at Heights, WHMIS, and First Aid certification assets but not required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midland, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (preferred)
