This is a full-time position with daytime hours, with shifts generally starting at 10 am and finishing at 7 pm.

In the position of Pizza Maker / Baker your essential duties will be:

- using a wood-fired oven (starting the fire and tending to it, managing firewood)
- hand-stretching and baking pizza
- making somun bread from scratch in small batches throughout the day
- following recipes, carefully weighing and measuring ingredients, to the gram
- keeping a clean and organized workspace
- maintaining our high quality standards of fresh, wholesome food using 100% real ingredients

We work as a team and your role will vary from day to day, and will also include:

- working the grill line (protein and vegetables)
- working the prep line (salads, spreads, drinks)
- sandwich making
- tasting every ingredient for quality control

**About Somun Superstar**
We are a specialty bakery and a sandwich shop in Toronto’s east end, baking somun bread throughout the day and wood-fired pizza in the evening. We have recently been included in Toronto Life Magazine’s “Toronto’s Best Pizza Now”, blogTO's "The Best Sandwiches in Toronto", and won SilverChef Hospitality Awards 2020 Momentum Award for the largest leap forward in terms of environmental sustainability and conservation.

**Salary**: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
