Hatchery Technician

Located in the Fraser Valley, Miracle Springs Inc. (MSI) is BC’s largest land-based Rainbow Trout and Arctic Charr producer. MSI is looking for a **career oriented** Freshwater Hatchery Technician to join our team.

**Duties**
- Routine system checks of RAS systems;
- Feeding, Grading and Weights Checks:

- Assist with egg, fry, fish care and spawnning;
- Maintain accurate records;
- Cleaning and maintenance of water treatment systems and equipment, including effluent and discharge;
- Cleaning and disinfecting equipment and tanks;
- Collecting and analyzing water samples for suitable fish rearing guidelines;
- Alarm response;
- Support fellow team members;
- Maintain a clean working environment;
- Other duties as may be assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Completion of secondary school
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, specifically excel
- legally eligible to work in Canada and/or possession of a valid work permit

**Details**

Hours of work are generally 730 am - 415 pm, however, some weekend, extended hours and overnight coverage will be required. We offer a competitive benefits package, RRSP/TFSA match and on-site accommodation while on shift to reduce commutes, if required. Salary commensurate with experience.

**Salary**: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
