- $46.09 - $49.61/HourThe Social Planner supports the development and implementation of the City’s social planning program, with a particular emphasis on establishing and meeting the City’s diverse housing needs. This is a regular, full-time opportunity.

Basic Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Planning and membership, or eligibility for membership, in the Planning Institute of BC (and / or the Canadian Institute of Planners)
- Minimum three years of related planning experience, preferably in a municipal setting
- Sound knowledge of principles, best practices, techniques and methods applicable in affordable housing / social planning, particularly at the local government level
- Ability to perform professional research and analysis duties and express ideas effectively in both oral and written form to a variety of audiences
- Effective project management, communication, facilitation, negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to be creative and exercise sound judgement in a fast-paced work environment while managing multiple tasks
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts while employing contemporary service excellence principles
