Overview:
Inspect guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after being cleaned by Housekeeper to ensure quality standards. Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms. Assist Housekeeping management in managing daily activities. Act as a liaison to coordinate the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry. Document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk. Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in assignment sheets/work boards. Communicate issues to next shift. Complete required paperwork. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

**Responsibilities**:

- Each associate is expected to carry out, within their capabilities, all reasonable requests by management
- To inspect Guestrooms and public areas to ensure Resorts highest standards are maintained and adhered to.
- Ensure all daily, weekly and monthly tasks are performed as outlined on task sheets.
- Handle Lost and Found.
- Opening of the housekeeping in the morning, assuring the Room Attendants are assigned to their floors and all rooms are covered.
- Manage scheduling
- Assigning duties to Housepersons.
- Assuring to stay within budget for productivity, i.e. call off/in associates according to the house count.
- Make sure special requests of Guests are noted.
- Make sure all Elite members and VIP’s are given priority.
- Be aware of Group check in and out.
- Assist Room Attendants when necessary.
- Ensure all Associates are trained to work safely.
- Progressive evaluations of Associates performance including coach and counsel.
- Focus on process improvement and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist in Guest supply and linen inventories.
- Participate in recognition and incentive programs in housekeeping and laundry.
- Manage associates to have most rooms ready for check in by 2pm.
- Communicate with front desk and engineering daily and ongoing.
- To look out for the safety of yourself, co-workers and to follow all Health and Safety requirements in the workplace.
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

- 1-year supervisory experience in a Hotel Housekeeping
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be fluent in the English language, verbal and written
- Must be neat and tidy with a natural talent for cleanliness
- Must be able to teach, coach and counsel
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Adherence to departmental job safety analysis and WHMIS
- Knowledge of WCB process
- Knowledge of Alberta labor standards
- Working knowledge of SOP’s and computers

The schedule for this position may vary and would require the ability to work shift work, late nights, weekends and holidays.
