Tundra Rescue is an Industrial Safety and Maintenance company that operates across southern Ontario, with main offices in Stayner, ON.

Tundra Rescue is hiring both full and part time positions for qualified Confined Space Rescue Supervisor Technicians.
- Each supervisor is responsible for the on-site management of his/her assigned task(s) and team members
- Professionally competent - exercising his/her professional judgement to reach final decisions at the worksite site based on their own knowledge, training, and experience
- Leads his/her team by example, demonstrating professional conduct
- In-depth knowledge of OREG 632/05 and NFPA 1006
- Ensure effective team care in accordance with OHSA, Ontario Regulations, and the Employment Standards Act
- Establish contact with the client representative on the worksite
- High Customer Service relational skill ability
- Review client documentation
- Hazards Assessment
- Lock-out Tag-out
- Air monitoring and testing
- Perform a System Safety Check, of the access and rescue systems
- Conduct Toolbox Talks
- Make the Go/No-Go decision. The Supervisor has the responsibility of deciding if the work should go ahead or not
- CSE Permit Authorization
- Oversee the work
- Provide Feedback on Attendant and Rescuer performance
- Complete job site reporting and after action requirements

**Qualifications**
**Knowledge**:

- **Has a minimum 2 years of Supervisory experience**:

- Issues, problems, principles and practices of OSHA, O.Reg 632/05NFPA 1006 as they pertain to rescue services, emergency medical services, and apparatus operation and maintenance
- Periodic review of relevant laws, ordinances, codes and court decisions that affect technical rescue services
- Functions, characteristics, and proper use and maintenance of Rescue equipment and supplies
- Company policies, regulations and geography
- Basic English and arithmetic
- First aid
- Applicable training, such as Confined Space Rescue, WHMIS, Working At Heights, etc.
- Identifying hazardous conditions and air monitoring permissible levels, exposure limits with mínimal technical support
- Maintaining Rescue and EMS equipment and facilities

**Abilities**:

- Work and live as a member of a team and give and follow directions in an emergency setting
- Motivate and direct personnel as well as utilize other supervisory techniques
- Ability to use continuous and/or short bursts of muscle force to jump, sprint, climb ladders, pull victims out of hazardous areas
- Up and downstairs carrying equipment as required, lifting, pushing, pulling, or carrying objects using hands, arms, back, abdominal muscles, shoulders, or legs
- Work effectively and safely during unavoidable exposure to an unpleasant environment with exposure to potentially serious and somewhat unpredictable hazards
- Follow and give verbal and written instructions
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Responsibly lead team members on site - overseeing work processes
- Think and act quickly and competently in emergencies and under stress
- Have flexibility to work flow and work locations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 44 per week

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Overtime
- Weekends as needed

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Supervising: 2 years (required)

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Stayner, ON L0M 1S0
