**Role and Key Responsibilities.**

Reporting to the CEO, this role is new territory for NACO. As an Investment Analyst you will manage the planning, administration, and execution of investment analysis. In your role, your investment focused work will intersect and complement NACO’s broader engagement activities with the innovation economy, including but not limited to education and training for new investors and the activities below:

- Your work will include building a pipeline of high-calibre investment opportunities (targeting underrepresented regions, sectors, and founders from diverse backgrounds) in collaboration with our network of prominent incubators and accelerators, venture capital funds, and angel collectives.
- You are relationship-driven and passionate about building connections with entrepreneurs and investors
- You will engaged in deal sourcing, networking, deal evaluation and execution
- In consultation with the CEO, work on developing systems, strategies and methods to efficiently prospect, collect information, analyze, execute on potential investment opportunities into high growth companies on behalf of our network.
- You are analytical and will dive deep into the evaluation of companies and business models
- Participate in the building of investment presentations, as required, in collaboration with the CEO, Director and/or other team members.
- Work collaboratively with the CEO and colleagues to create investment-related educational content for both new and established investors, including engaging with experts, partners and educational instructors.
- Execute on high-priority opportunities to engage with NACO’s established network of members, partners and key stakeholders including entrepreneurs, individual investors and venture capitalists.
- Collaborating with our research and analytics team
- Engage with investors across multiple organizations to advance regional and national deal syndication opportunities, helping high potential entrepreneurs to rapidly access investor capital
- Provide support for various initiatives to increase regional angel investment activity, facilitate the growth of early stage entrepreneurs and develop Canada’s innovation ecosystem.

Incorporated in 2002, the National Angel Capital Organization (NACO) is Canada’s professional association for angel investors and the only national platform for both angel collectives and the innovation hubs that support Canada’s entrepreneurs. NACO members have invested $1.38 billion into 1,900 portfolio companies. That said, the angel capital ecosystem provides more than just investment dollars.
