**Reports To**: Quality Assurance Manager

**Alternate**: QA Manager

**Job Summary**: To assist the QA department in the maintenance of the HACCP system, and to ensure that finished products meet regulatory requirements, as well as internal and external specifications.

**Responsibilities including but not limited to**:

- Responsible for monitoring activities of all plant personnel to ensure GMPs, biosecurity and food safety policies are being always followed.
- Conduct product testing on finished goods and work-in-progress to ensure products meet specifications.
- Prepare samples for external laboratory analysis.
- Perform ongoing checks on production activities to ensure production procedures are being followed.
- Conduct pre-operational and operational inspections of production areas.
- Communicate with QA Manager regarding deviations found during monitoring inspections.
- Responsible for ensuring finished products and raw ingredients are properly labeled and stored.
- Ensures all company guidelines, policies and other duties are followed and implemented as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in food science or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in production/manufacturing in Food industry
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Familiar with HACCP principles.
- Familiar with GFSI-SQF code for food manufacturing.
- Ability to read, write and keep records.
- Microsoft Office knowledge.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From $25.00 per hour
