Crown Ridge Place is a 122-bed LTC Home, located in Trenton. We are seeking a _Home Area Nursing Supervisor_ (HANS). This position will be working as part of our home’s nursing management team under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

**What will you do.**
- Supervise and serve as a role model and partner to staff for assessments, decision-making, and care provision.
- Assist with the assessment of residents, plan, direct, and evaluate resident care to achieve the highest level of care for our residents and compliance with the Fixing Long-Term Care Act.
- Responsible for completion of MDS-RAI assessments and care plan development and revisions as well as care programs, quality improvement programs, and analysis to achieve positive and enhanced outcomes for residents, staff, and the home.
- Supervise, direct, hire, and evaluate (including completion of performance reviews), assist with staffing/staff assignments when required, and education of staff.
- A commitment to the mission, vision, values, philosophy, objectives, and policies of the home.

**What will you need.**
- A Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)
- Active and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- At least 3 years of Long-Term Care Home experience
- Experience with the completion MDS-RAIs and care plans will be an asset
- A positive and energetic approach to responsibilities
- Demonstrate effective leadership and time management skills
- A self-starter and take initiative
- Foster a respectful, professional, and team approach amongst the staff team
- Empower staff to thrive in their role while seeking opportunities for growth and cultivating positive relationships with residents, families, and external care partners.
- Vulnerable Sector Check within 6 months
- TB Step 1 and 2
- Proof of COVID vaccinations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Management Position

Schedule:

- 1:00 pm-9:00 pm
- On-call requirement and weekend/holiday shifts. Hours of work and assignments may change depending on the needs of the homes.
- Holidays
- Weekend availability

COVID-19 considerations:
Mandatory wearing of medical mask for the duration of shift. Must adhere to COVID protocols including hand hygiene and physical distancing. Home has a mandatory COVID vaccination policy.

**Salary**: From $35.00 per hour
