**Job Overview**:
The Cost Controller will be responsible for assisting with project budgeting and monitoring project-related costs. The Cost Controller will assist with estimating the future cost, current cost expenditure, and payments received for the project throughout the project lifecycle. The Cost Controller’s main duties will be to oversee daily reporting of project-related activities, implement and maintain the use of cost codes, track the cost expenditure as well as facilitate Accounts Payable and Receivable functions by reviewing and processing invoices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee, enter data, and submit LEMs (Labour, Equipment & Material Summaries) as required, ensuring accuracy in daily reporting and data management inputted in the LEMs.
- Drive process implementation for cost management, including construction activities, cost reporting, variance analysis, trending, forecasting, and cash flows.
- Ensure effective cost assessment and analysis, providing comprehensive reporting.
- Review, consolidate, and ensure accurate and complete monthly invoices are generated and submitted to the client.
- Conduct financial and operational risk assessments, developing and monitoring business control requirements to mitigate risks effectively.
- Manage cost data appropriately for accessibility and auditability.
- Generate and distribute client and internal reports to effectively communicate cost status and trends.
- Implement proper controls to support, monitor, and communicate budget, progress, productivity, and resourcing.
- Evaluate and maintain historical information for informed decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Project Controls group and Management to update and ensure the accuracy of cost codes and LEM formulas.
- Assist with project budgeting and monitor project-related costs, preparing estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review project commitments and costs, ensuring proper coding for expenditure tracking.
- Provide regular updates on task completion status and project timelines.
- Maintain a clear understanding of contract cost-related information.
- Prepare detailed project cost control reports and provide monthly status updates.
- Ensure adherence to project policies and procedures.
- Provide technical support to the Project Team.
- Respond to requests regarding project cost, budget, and payments received for Morris Group’s services.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Technical, or Engineering related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of project control experience, including planning, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and estimating.
- Experience supporting Construction/Mining Projects.
- Proficiency with ERP software, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in providing instruction and training to contractors/site personnel for tracking and reporting procedures.
- Problem-solving skills with a patient, calm, and professional demeanour.
- Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
