**Role**:
The Lead Loader's responsibility will be to ensure that the loading department is running smoothly and as efficiently as possible to meet company standards. Furthermore, the major role stage and oversee the pre-galvanized material to ensure it is racked and ready to be pickled. The Lead Loader should be Pro-Active and have a strong leadership background and must understand the importance of delegation and organization. This individual should also have a vast knowledge of the galvanizing process and the ASTM A123/A123M standards. The Lead will also be assisting the Supervisor, Packing Lead, and Administration personnel. It is the responsibility of the Lead to communicate with the employees of the department and inform the Supervisor of any concerns or updates.

**Key Duties & Responsibilities include**:

- Excellent Attendance and Punctuality is a must
- Oversee and direct all loading personnel.
- Ensure all employees are following company procedures and policies.
- Delegate and train staff to rack material as per galvanizing standards.
- Ensure employees are remaining safe and using all PPE required, in addition to reminding all employees to follow policy and procedures in case of an incident or discovery of hazards in the plant. Refer them to the correct individuals to handle the situation.
- Will have the responsibility to ensure the work flow throughout the entire operation is consistent and efficient.
- Efficiency is maintained in the loading area, all customer material should be monitored and verified prior to entering it into the system, before entering the pickling process.
- Keeping track of weight capacities to stay within the maximum load capacity of the forklift, racks and cranes in operation.
- All personnel in the loading area are to be observed and monitored.
- The work area is to be kept clean at all times.
- It is the responsibility of the Lead to delegate tasks from the start to the end of the shift. The Lead must assist employee and respond to any job related inquiries or concerns. If they do not have the knowledge they need to direct the concern to the right individual or respond to them in a timely manner.
- The Lead is accountable to provide employees with assistance, guidance and training when needed.
- All tasks and checklists are to be completed and to be revised by management on a daily basis (forklift, crane etc.).
- All data is to be inputted on an ongoing basis, for Scheduler to retrieve.
- Night Shift Premium: 0.95 per hour

**Salary**: $25.49 per hour
