Rheumatology practice seeking a second full-time exemplary medical receptionist / administrative assistant to work in a collegial and fully computerized medical clinic. Start date: 21 February 2023.

Job Responsibilities:

- Greet and register patients in professional manner, update patient demographics and validate OHIP information
- Answer phone and interact with patients in a polite, pleasant and timely manner
- Schedule and confirm consult and follow-up appointments, manage referrals and facilitate smooth clinic flow
- Coordinate with physician offices and other professionals to obtain test results and other relevant medical information
- Complete office paperwork including indexing electronic faxes, scanning documents into the EMR, obtaining test results and handling mail
- Tidy office and treatment rooms daily and in-between patients
- Other clerical and cross-functional duties as assigned based on clinic needs
- Collaborate with the other administrative assistant

Relevant Qualifications and Skills**:Experience as a medical receptionist / administrative assistant. Relevant diploma.**
- **Electronic Medical Records, especially Accuro.**:

- Ability to work well in fast-paced environment and multi-task efficiently.
- Detail oriented. Accurately and reliably complete tasks.
- Willing to learn; independent; excellent problem-solving skills.
- Understand and respect clinic and patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are critical
- Must be patient and compassionate when dealing with patients

Important: Experience and skill using Accuro EMR and at least one year of recent experience working in a medical office

position, Mon/Tues/Thurs 8:00 - 4:30, Wed/Fri 8:00-4:00

**Salary**: $21/hr
