Overview

Are you a university or college student looking for part time employment? Are you mechanically inclined? Do you love interacting with people and excel at customer service? we are currently looking for part time team members for evening and weekend work in a fast paced but fun environment.

The Bowling Attendant is responsible to ensure each guest has a memorable experience at Bowl Below. the incumbent is also responsible to maintain the bowling lanes and ensure a clean and neat working environment. This includes but not limited to:
Customer Service:

- Explain prices, packages, as well as upselling
- Greeting guests in a polite and welcoming manner in person, as well as over the phone
- Explaining how bowling works to customers and offer bowling instructions when requested
- Assign bowling lanes and provide shoes if needed
- have excellent bowling knowledge or be willing to learn (training can be provided)

Financial
- Daily opening and closing of cash drawer
- Managing and processing cash transactions (canteen and bowling)
- Point of sales operations

Bowling System Management
- Provide overrides in bowling system as needed
- Retrieve gutter balls and reset pins as needed
- Address and rectify various mechanical issues with bowling equipment
- identify any potential future mechanical problems
- Cleaning and maintaining the lanes, approaches and seating area

Cleaning and Maintenance
- keep facility clean and maintained while you are on shift as well as the next shift
- Maintain bowling lanes, pinsetters, pins, ball returns, bowling balls, scoring equipment, and all other related mechanical problems
- Clean tables and lanes for a quick lane turnover
- Provide a fun, safe environment for customers and staff
- Complete daily cleaning using operational tools and checklists
- Returning balls to racks from the ball return when guests finish bowling on lanes

**Requirements**:

- Must be able to stand for long period of time and able to lifts 50lbs. Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job including frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Knowledge of 10 pin bowling is an asset. No experience required. will provide training
- Food Handlers Certificate (preferred)
- Driver's License and own vehicle an asset as evening and late shifts required.
- Basic money handling and math skills
- Possess good customer relations abilities, outgoing and friendly manner, courteous and cooperative attitude, team oriented; Point of Sale (POS) and scheduling software experience considered an asset.

- Interviews will be conducted in person
- Salary: $20.00 per hour
- Part-time, most weekday evenings and weekend shifts with primarily closing shifts
