Footbridge is a fast paced, multi-disciplinary, high-volume clinic with a reputation for excellent service and care - home to several Subspecialty Orthopaedic Surgeons, Sports Medicine Physicians, Physiotherapists, Imaging and Pedorthists and Brace Fitters. Our mission is to provide a compassionate and efficient patient-experience, starting from the initial consultation through to follow-up and related care.

Experienced practitioners or new grads welcome. A doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine and practical experience in a clinic or hospital are prerequisites to be considered for this role.

The clinic is a full-scope practice which focuses on diagnosing, treating and managing foot conditions, including general podiatry, wound care, chronic and acute conditions that affect the lower leg/foot bones, joints, soft tissues, skin, nails, sports injuries, helps patients deal with a range of mobility issues, relieves pain and treats infections of the feet and lower legs and diabetes.

**Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and regular podiatry care.
- Provide non-surgical treatment plans
- Treat sports-related foot and leg injuries
- Provide wound care management and wound debridement as deemed necessary.
- Enter patient information and completes required clinical documentation in an EMR system.
- Visit multiple patients per day, to identify and treat various diseases and conditions including foot fungus, diabetic limb treatment, skin care, and minor procedures such as ingrown toenail, bunions, or corn/calluses.
- Perform in-clinic minor surgical procedures such as matrixectomies, biopsies, excision of lesions
- Assess, diagnose and treat foot and ankle abnormalities and soft tissue abnormalities of the leg
- Evaluate patients, orders, and interprets tests, and provide diagnoses of podiatric conditions.
- Prescribe medications, monitor treatments, and recommend clinical interventions, as appropriate, to provide efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
- Review patient medical histories and record treatments in medical charts, to ensure accurate and relevant documentation.
- Collaborate with other medical and specialty personnel, to obtain consultative services for cases that require a multi-disciplinary approach.
- Coordinate medical staff and other health care providers to deliver effective treatment.
- Provide patients and their families with relevant information regarding community and Provincial resources, programs, and services.
- Complete patient medical charting and billing information promptly, using Collaborative Health Record (formerly InputHealth) EMR
- Other duties as assigned.

**Skills**
- Excellent knowledge of therapeutic and surgical treatments for the lower extremities
- Familiar with all types of foot problems including genetic abnormalities and deformities
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well
- Empathy and patience when dealing with patient conditions
- Ability to provide patient centered, culturally appropriate healthcare
- Up-to-date with latest technologies and treatments in Podiatry/Foot & Ankle Surgery
- Self motivated

Education/Certifications/Licensure & Experience
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) from a school of podiatric medicine
- Registered by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC (CPSBC), pursuant to the BC _Health Professions Act_
- Current malpractice insurance

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 22-35 per week

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
