Position Overview:
As a Dentist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive oral health care services to patients. You will diagnose and treat dental conditions, promote oral hygiene, and educate patients on preventive dental care practices. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient care, and communication skills will contribute to the overall well-being of your patients and the success of the dental practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Patient Care:

- Perform dental examinations to assess oral health, identify dental conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Provide dental treatments such as fillings, extractions, root canals, crowns, bridges, and dentures.
- Diagnose and treat gum diseases, oral infections, and other oral health conditions.
- Administer local anesthesia and/or sedation as needed for dental procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle habits that promote oral health.
- Treatment Planning and Coordination:

- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patients' dental needs, medical history, and preferences.
- Coordinate treatment with specialists for complex dental cases or specialized procedures.
- Communicate treatment options, risks, and benefits to patients to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Ensure accurate and thorough documentation of patient records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Dental Practice Management:

- Manage dental equipment, supplies, and inventory to ensure efficient operation of the dental practice.
- Maintain infection control protocols and standards to ensure a safe and sterile dental environment.
- Supervise dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other support staff as needed.
- Collaborate with the dental team to improve patient care processes and enhance the patient experience.
- Stay updated on advances in dental technology, techniques, and best practices through continuing education and professional development.
- Patient Communication and Education:

- Establish rapport and build trust with patients to create a comfortable and positive dental experience.
- Communicate effectively with patients to address their concerns, answer questions, and alleviate anxiety.
- Provide clear instructions and guidance to patients on post-treatment care and follow-up appointments.
- Educate patients on preventive measures to maintain good oral health and prevent dental problems.

Pay: $50,471.26-$200,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
