Dog Groomer

PROFESSIONAL DOG GROOMER

Reports to the manager and/or business owner.
Certifications Required: None, but Pet First Aid & Canpetpro certification is encouraged.

Skills Required: Exceptional customer service skills, basic knowledge of animal behaviour, basic knowledge of animal grooming, attention to detail, strong leadership and organizational skills, enjoys responsibility.

Assets: Experience working with dogs or animals in any capacity; education in science, animal behaviour, business, or customer relations.

Daily Responsibilities

1. Set up Grooming Station & Tubs as needed

2. Greet clients when they drop off their dogs & pick them up, assess the dog’s coat and health condition on arrival.

3. Provide education around dog grooming and health within scope of practice as a Professional Dog Groomer

This includes providing outstanding client centered service.

4. Groom dog clients as required to breed standard and client request

5. Take photos for Dream Dog social media when able

6. Maintain exceptional cleanliness of facility while adhering to strict use of personal protective equipment and safety measures, particularly of own grooming space and tub.This includes cleaning animal waste and excretions, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, window cleaning, maintaining bathrooms, laundry, cleaning out the hair traps on the tubs, and removing garbage.

7. Liaise between staff, clients, volunteers, suppliers and charitable organizations

8. Point of sale transactions as required
9. Be responsible for own tools and equipment to complete daily duties
10. Other assorted duties as required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: $14.30-$20.00 per hour

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability
