**Status**:Regular Part-Time

**Hours**:24 hours per week

**Faculty/Department**:Office of the Principal, Lakeshore

**Campus/Location**:Lakeshore Campus

**Salary**:$24.14 - $37.14

**What you will do**:
Reporting to the Curator, the Assistant Curator is responsible for supporting the research and interpretation of the natural and built heritage of the Lakeshore Grounds region. As part of the project team, the Assistant Curator will contribute to institutional knowledge, ongoing exhibition planning, cultural and educational programming, and contribute to art, artefact, and archival collection with record making and management.

The Assistant Curator will frequently encounter and collaborate with the Humber community (students, faculty, staff, and partnerships/collaborations with College Faculties and Departments), and with the local community (general public, local residents, community groups/organizations/businesses, community stakeholders). This position will also be the primary marketing and communications management lead for the team,

**What you bring to the role**:
**Education**:
Bachelor’s degree in History, Arts Management, Museum Studies, Collections Management, Arts, Anthropology, or equivalent.

**Experience/Skills**:
Minimum two (2) years combined experience in an educational, heritage, and/or Gallery or Museum (volunteer and internships included), including:

- Marketing, and front-facing communications (in-person and digital) through social media, website, e-newsletter and digital communications;
- Hosting tours and facilitating partnerships for events and projects;
- Conducting, presenting, ongoing research about histories & heritage.
