The AVP Insurance Distribution Enablement role reports to the VP, Insurance Distribution, and is accountable for developing and managing the Insurance Distribution (ID) vision and strategy and enabling distribution and advisors to achieve strategic goals. The AVP will set the strategic vision and direction for ID through the development of a multi-year advisor and firm strategy, and digital strategy roadmap.

**What will you do?**

**Strategy (45%)**
- Develops IID advisor and firm strategy - by analyzing competitors' distribution strategies, collecting, and analyzing data on potential advisor/client segments
- Partners with Insurance Solutions and Data Analytics teams to model and maximize sales opportunities across products, client markets and advisor channels
- Develops IID vision & roadmap - identifies and defines ID target advisor/client segments, competitive advantage levers and financial benefits and impacts
- Prepares strategic planning documents, researches, and recommends appropriate solutions to senior management (IDLT & RASLT)
- Owns multi-year technology roadmap and strategy - ensuring competitiveness of tools and technology available to advisors and distribution team
- Plans and facilitates IDLT Strategy days

**Sales Enablement (30%)**
- Accountable for distribution team presence, advisor experience and loyalty programs in alignment with IID strategy
- Accountable for ensuring competitiveness of sales incentive plans and aligning incentive levers with IID strategy and roadmap
- Establish and monitor sales plan, budget and resources allocated to the Insurance Distribution Leadership Team (IDLT)
- Establish productivity metrics that align with the key business results of the team

**Business Enablement (15%)**
- Identify, develop and maintain relevant BU metrics (Balanced Scorecard and visual management tools) that will enable the leadership team to develop effective plans, and in turn execute/manage the key elements of the business on an ongoing basis
- Support development and reporting of KPIs with the Insurance Distribution Leadership Team and to Insurance Solution Leadership team
- Plans and facilitates IDLT run meetings
- Develop and manage a distribution talent management strategy

**Talent Management (10%)**
- Lead and coach a team of sales and business enablement professionals to execute on advisor and sales team development programs

**What do you need to succeed?**
- Strategy / management consulting experience preferred to assess market and develop short-, medium
- and long-term distribution strategy
- Experience in analyzing and solving complex business problems with creativity, critical thinking and strong business and financial acumen
- Experience in leading high performing teams and professional knowledge workers
- Experience in financial and quantitative analysis, including using modelling tools and techniques, would be an asset
- Experience in conducting in-depth secondary research, including collection and synthesis; some experience with primary research would be an asset
- Deep understanding of channels, advisor practices and influencing sales team
- Minimum 10 years supporting distribution
- Minimum 10 years supporting strategy development
- MBA preferred
