Aldergrove Optometry is a relative new clinic (5 years old) and we are rapidly growing. We are looking for an outgoing optician with experience in sales to add to our small team. Thorough training will be provided, so personality and work ethic will be considered the most to fit in with our current team. We are a dog friendly environment.

Employment type: part-time (including some Saturdays) with opportunity to become full-time

Looking for:

- Experience in sales and customer service
- Excellent communication and patience with customer/patient service skills
- Willing to learn new skills (experience in edging, adjusting frames, and dispensing glasses is preferred)

Job duties:

- Patient scheduling, reception, recalls, and follow up calls
- Answering calls and greeting customers/patients in professional manner
- Receiving payment and direct billing insurance
- Pre-testing patients and lensometry
- Consultation and sales on frames and lenses, measuring, placing orders, dispensing, and troubleshooting adjustments and repairs
- Occasional cleaning of the clinic (we all do our part)

**Salary**: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour with annual review for raises and bonuses

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

**Experience**:

- Sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Optical: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Optician's license (preferred)
