Personal Support Worker

**Expected working days: Mondays to Fridays - Mornings**

**Male caregiver is preferred due to religious reason of the client.**

This older gentleman had a stroke in the past, and needs a male caregiver come to his home every morning from Monday to Friday, who can help him with his daily living activities (ADLs), including but not limited to:

- Provide personal care and assistance with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Performing exercises, walking with the client in the house
- Perform homemaking tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Monitor and report changes in client's health and well-being
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care and report any changes in condition to the supervising nurse or case manager.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment for clients and yourself
- Complete other tasks as required

Expected Requirements:

- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
- First Aid Certificate
- Reliable mode of transportation
- Completion of a recognized Personal Support Worker program or equivalent education and experience
- TLR (Transferring, Lifting, Repositioning) Certificate

Preferred Requirements:

- Dementia care training and experience is preferred
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Six (6) months of relevant work experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proof of full and current COVID-19 vaccination

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $15.61-$23.75 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
