**Skills Canada Newfoundland & Labrador (SCNL) **is a charitable organization that promotes skilled trades and technologies as first choice career options for young Canadians and encourages excellence and employment readiness. SCNL hosts skilled trade, technology and employability Competitions, Skilled Futures Conferences, Entrepreneurial Programs, Try-A-Trade® and Technology events, Essential Skills Challenges and offers awareness-raising activities to schools throughout the province.

SCNL is partnering with the NL Association of CBDCs to offer the Enter:Preneur Program which highlights great opportunities for skilled tradespersons and technologists to become successful business owners. The main goal of this program is to encourage youth to consider skilled careers as a pathway to entrepreneurism and to provide young tradespersons and technologists the tools, expertise and knowledge to translate their skills into successful business ownership.

**Position Description**:
The Program Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to liaise with partners in the educational and business community and lead a marketing initiative to promote skilled careers as excellent pathways to business ownership. The Coordinator will deliver a number of events and programs including: Entrepreneurship Conferences for Apprentices, Business
- Pitch Simulations for High School Students, Lunch and Learns for Educators and Essential Skills for workplace success.
- oriented and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Some additional work outside the regular workday and provincial travel may be expected. This position requires access to a reliable vehicle.

**Key Qualifications**:

- Post-secondary education in business, administration or equivalent combination of education and experience,
- Experience in Project Coordination, event organization, office technology, research, presenting to groups and community outreach,
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail,
- Proficiency in a multi-task environment,
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft office software, social media, office equipment,
- Team player who thrives in supporting successes of youth we serve and co-workers.

- probationary period).
