**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of **Bakery Manager at our St. Norbert Food Store located at 3477 Pembina Highway, in Winnipeg, Manitoba **. This position reports to the Store Manager. The Bakery Manager adds value to our Co-operative by providing leadership and direction to all aspects of bakery department operations.

Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:

- Provide leadership and direction in the execution of financial results and store budget objectives in the areas of sales, margins, expenses and profits.
- Ensure standards of department presentation and operations are met, including cleanliness and sanitation, inventory control, purchasing, and the delivery of world-class customer service.
- Provide leadership in the area of employee relations, including hiring, training, development, performance management, discipline, and administration of co-op policies.
- Build and maintain a strong culture of employee and customer engagement within the department.

**About You**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- A minimum of three years of retail bakery department experience. Previous retail management experience is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of department financial operations.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate staff to achieve strong operating results.
