Warehouse Associate/forklift Operator

Edmonton, Canada Mammoth Equipment & Exhausts Full time

The Warehouse Associate will perform an array of functions that may include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, or managing, organizing, and retrieving stock in the warehouse.

**Accountabilities**:

- Wrap, pack, & box product(s) for shipment
- Process orders completely & correctly
- Print a ‘Shipping Accuracy Checklist’
- Determine the correct packaging based on the items picked the order (Ex. Cardboard carton, pallet, crate, etc.) If a crate is required, determine the size and order the crate with the Crate Builder. Move on to the next order pending the crate being ready. If customer approval of a prepaid freight charge is required, the quote amount (plus appropriate markup) will be sent to the customer contact for approval before a pickup is booked
- Pack the items in the selected package(s), ensuring they are secure and sufficient packing material is used to prevent damage (Ex. Foam, bubble wrap, crumpled paper, foam inserts, etc). Note the quantity packed for each item on the Packing List
- Follow the work manuals and instructions
- Maintain a clean and organized work area according to daily and weekly standards while abiding by health and safety regulations. Attend applicable safety training to ensure knowledge of safe working practices
- Print Picking List from the M5 WAREHOUSE READY TO PACK section, in priority order as set in the M5 READY TO PACK section
- Maintains awareness of KPIs for the team, supports gathering and tracking information as needed, to measure performance. Ensures their work is in alignment with the KPIs and team objectives. Prioritize Delivery Sales Orders to print per route, and pack Delivery Team orders as needed
- Complete ERP processes for Sales order. Use M5 spreadsheet to communicate pickup scheduling and other requirements
- Maintains knowledge of Production & Delivery processes and equipment to ensure readiness for support when needed
- Acts as back-up for Receiving duties as requested by Warehouse Manager

**Shipping duties**:

- Courier scheduling
- The BOL and/or copies of the labels are then added to the FILES link for the line, and the Carrier and tracking # are added to the line under COLUMN M
- Back-up for daily workflow in their absence
- Communicate with Customer Service, Sales and Marketing about delays, order errors and shipment priorities
- Load or unload truck trailers, cargo planes or other delivery vehicles as needed or directed by supervisors

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:_
- Experience operating a sit-down forklift preferred
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide into all units
- Experience utilizing warehouse management systems
- **Required computer skills**:_
- Must have intermediate computer skills, preferably in a warehouse environment that utilizes carrier websites and google sheets
- Microsoft Office software
- Experience with an inventory management system is a plus
- **Physical job requirements**:_
- Walk up to 2 miles per shift
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequently lift up to 70 pounds using an optional team lift
- Rarely lift greater than 70+ pounds using a team lift
- Stand, push, pull, carry, squat, and kneel
- Climb up and down stairs (where applicable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
