**Sliced FC is a Fresh Cut Processor with two state of the art facilities located in Western Canada. We provide a wide assortment of fruit and vegetable products utilizing produce sourced from certified growers around the world We are continually growing our selection of food service and retail items, and we specialize in designing custom programs to fit our customers' needs. By being flexible, innovative, and having the ability to deliver within hours to surrounding areas, the Sliced FC team is able to provide long lasting fresh-cut produce.**

**Focus**

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general building and property maintenance. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all machinery and mechanical production equipment in accordance with safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure the maintenance and repair of all equipment and machinery.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment.
- Perform general cleanup of all facilities.
- Perform daily maintenance inspections.
- Comply and enforce Occupational Health and Safety standards and practices.
- Collect and dispose of all garbage and recyclables.
- Maintain an inventory of all equipment, tools and machinery.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervisor.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, manuals and warranties.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

- Ability to effectively communicate with fellow employees and management.
- Ability to follow and comply with Occupational Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot breakdowns and complete repairs.
- Strong mechanical knowledge/background.
- Ability to perform small repairs
- Possess a valid driver’s license

**Education and Experience**:

- High school diploma/GED.
- Building trades' certificate, or equivalent, considered an asset.
- 5thclass power engineer an asset but not a requirement.
- First Aid certification considered an asset.
- Minimum 3 years of Maintenance experience.
- Past metal fabrication/welding is an asset but not a requirement.

**Working Conditions**
- Hours may be irregular and in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week
- Work outside ordinary office hours (including weekends and holidays) may be required
- Working with machinery such as loaders, forklifts, and power tools.
- Working in various temperatures and humidity, particularly in a cooler

**Physical Requirements**
- Ability to stand and work on feet for long periods of time
- Ability to grasp, manipulate, move, and assemble objects
- Frequent lifting, carrying of up to 50lbs
- Occasional handling of cleaning tools
- Working in a consistent temperature of 2 degrees Celsius
