Goalie Coach

We are looking for a goalie coach to teach fundamental skills to kids (ages 5-13). We run Goaltender Development programs weekly and we also facilitate private lessons as requested.

The Head Goalie Coach's objective is to ensure quality programs are planned, developed, and presented to the customer on a continual basis providing the optimal opportunity for development and enjoyment.

Employees within this job classification must possess strong interpersonal skills. Communication with participants and customers is required to ensure the program meets and exceeds client standards.

**Typical Duties and Responsibilities**
- Develop practice plans and drills that match the guidance provided by our program outline
- Run on-ice skills sessions for 2 participants at a time on our 40' x 20' ice rink.
- Produce a safe environment for participants by ensuring The Zone Training safety regulations are being met.
- Communicate with participants and the customer (parents) to ensure satisfaction.

**Qualifications**
- Must have experience playing hockey as a goaltender at a competitive level (Jr. B or higher)
- Must have experience working at a hockey school or teaching individual skill development for goalies
- Able to present themselves professionally and communicate appropriately with all customers and staff members
- Ability to take direction and respond in a timely manner
- Must be physically able to skate for 50 minutes continuously for up to 6 hours in a row
- Able to work and train in cold on-ice conditions

**Schedule**
- Tuesdays: 545pm - 830pm
- Sundays: 245pm - 830pm
- Private lessons will be booked as per coach availability

**Requirements**:

- First-Aid / CPR required.
- Staff must purchase a tracksuit ($100)
- Staff must wear their own helmet during on-ice sessions or can purchase one through us ($75)

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 10 per week

**Experience**:

- Goalie Coach: 1 year (required)
- Playing Junior B or higher: 2 years (preferred)
