Provides vision and strategic leadership to the Parts & Service Divisions to ensure continuous improvement in customer and employee satisfaction resulting in profitable operations for Summit Trailer. As part of the Senior Management team, the successful incumbent will aid to drive Summit Trailer towards a profitable future by ensuring Summit Values and Standards are continually represented in each of our Parts and Service departments, ensuring branch consistency today and going forward.

**Responsibilities**
- Designs, directs and manages a company-wide _proce_ss: Develop, Document, and Training of parts and service managers as well as implementation of operation standards across all four branches of parts and service. This includes:

- Monitors works in progress in the Service department.
- Schedules branch visits with set goals for each department each trip
- Inventory overseeing, auditing all branches
- Creates and oversees departmental budget, works with managers on goals
- Hosting weekly meetings of the parts and service departments with management team.
- Continually informing President of significant problems that jeopardize the achievement of company goals, and those that are not being addressed adequately at the line management level.
- Supervises staff following Summit Trailer’s Leadership principles by:

- Hiring the right staff and retaining them
- Moving those staff to high performance by ensuring they have the correct skills and knowledge; communicating including providing goals, standards and measuring performance and providing feedback; provide guidance on personnel concerns; rewarding and creating the work environment to make them the most productive.
- Keep senior managers informed as to yearly goals to ensure full participation in training
- Represent parts and service with other departments to resolve operating issues and difficulties, develop new processes, and capitalize on opportunities aligned with our corporate strategy.
- Maintain an objective view of Parts and Service communications with other departments to ensure fluidity of operations. Promotes unity and teamwork among all branches within Parts and Service.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 10 years of truck or trailer industry experience or equivalent
- Parts Manager or Service Manager experience is an asset
- Multi-branch, inter-provincial experience is preferred
- 8 years direct supervisory experience at a senior level
- Business management training (certificate, diploma or degree) is preferred.
- Ability to develop, implement and deliver on overall operational goals and objectives
- Good rapport and reputation with industry contacts or the ability to do so in initial contacts with customers, vendors and manufacturers.
- Strong leadership skills - mentoring, coaching, training
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills
- Performs confidently with composure under pressure
- Maintains strong working relationships with staff, executive, and customers
- Excellent planning, organizing, prioritizing and time management skills
- Strong computer skills - especially MS Word and Excel
