Sewing Instructor

HSDC is currently seeking a skilled Sewing Instructor to teach on a part-time basis, intermediate and advanced practical sewing course at our center.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Teach sewing and dress-making course to a small group of participants twice a week
- Assisting participants with sewing-related questions and providing industrial information
- Teaching the group the various ways of maintaining their sewing machines
**Qualifications & Experience**:
- Must have successfully completed any Fashion Design Diploma or Sewing Training Program
- Must have minimum five (5) years sewing experience
- Skilled in advanced sewing technologies
- Experience in draft making, patterns, etc.
- Adult teaching experience would be an asset.
**Skills needed**:
- Good communication/interpersonal and group management skills
- In-depth knowledge of silhouettes, sketching & fit, color selections and fabrics
- Should be flexible, patient, tolerant, and compassionate
**Job Type**: Part-time
