Mastering the Art of Strategic Sourcing and Contract Management

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Procurement Planning**: Strategizing and orchestrating procurement activities, including financial estimations, business requirements, and understanding contracting options.
- **Progress Briefings**: Regularly updating stakeholders on the progress and potential concerns related to procurement activities.
- **Documentation Control**: Managing and refining all documentation pertinent to procurement plans and processes.
- **Contractor Coordination**: Overseeing the involvement of project contractors and ensuring seamless support provision.
- **Statement of Work**: Drafting, reviewing, and finalizing statements of work for potential procurements.
- **Evaluation Planning**: Establishing methodologies, criteria, and schedules for evaluating procurement options.
- **Deliverable Prioritization**: Analyzing and prioritizing procurement deliverables and requirements to ensure best value.
- **Contract Monitoring**: Ensuring that contract implementation aligns with established goals, objectives, and milestones.
- **Reporting**: Offering consistent updates on contract progress throughout its lifecycle.
- **Problem Solving**: Proactively identifying potential issues and devising effective solutions.
- **Procurement Control**: Implementing and overseeing procurement control and reporting procedures.
- **Post-Procurement Evaluation**: Conducting thorough reviews and evaluations after procurement completion.
- **Negotiation Leadership**: Taking charge in negotiations and aiding in the development of procurement and business process maps.
- **Strategy Development**: Crafting a detailed procurement strategy for acquiring products or services in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

**Must-Haves**:

- Valid Government of Canada Secret clearance.
- A university degree or college diploma.
- 10+ years in procurement and contract management.
- In-depth understanding of project procurement management, cost estimation, and contract process management.

**Nice-to-Haves**:

- Certifications in procurement or supply chain management.
- Proven experience in developing procurement strategies and conducting post-procurement evaluations in a federal government environment.
