**Experienced Litigation Lawyer (Contract Part-time In-House Position)**

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Reporting to the President / CEO, provide legal advice and support
- Provide in-depth assistance with both simple and complex investigative matters
- Review applicable statutes and regulations
- Draft and review legal documents, mostly specific to litigation matters
- Advise on civil procedure and process
- Other legal matters as assigned such as **Patent Requirements**

**Qualifications**:

- Practicing Lawyer in Alberta
- Effective attention to detail
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Ability to integrate and work effectively with a legal team, including other lawyers and senior management
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing

**Experience/Requirement**:

- 6+ years’ experience in Litigation Law (required)
- Member good standing with the Alberta Law Society (required)
- Experience on more complex, multi-faceted litigation considered an asset

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- Litigation Law: 7 years (required)
- on more complex, multi-faceted litigation: 5 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Certificate of Standing with the Alberta Law Society (required)
