**About LSA**:
Lifetime Skills Academy (LSA) is looking for passionate instructors to lead engaging STEM classes for kids. If you have experience working with children and a strong background in STEM education, we’d love to hear from you Our programs focus on fostering curiosity and knowledge in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math in a supportive and motivating environment. Instructors will have the flexibility to develop and implement their lesson plans while advancing students' understanding of key STEM concepts.
**Winter Camp Details**:
Our Winter Break Camps run on December 23rd, 24th, 27th (3 days a week), 30th, 31st & January 2nd, 3rd (4 days a week). No lessons: December 25th, 26th, January 1st.
**Specific Responsibilities**:
- Lead interactive STEM classes for students ages 3.5-12.
- Encourage and guide students to complete assigned STEM projects.
- Develop and deliver age-appropriate lesson plans.
- Manage classroom setup and maintain a safe, organized learning environment.
- Motivate students and create a positive, engaging atmosphere.
- Communicate clear instructions and oversee a team of junior instructors as needed.
- Participate in curriculum development for STEM-focused content.
**Qualifications**:
- Strong foundational knowledge in STEM fields (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
- Experience teaching or tutoring children, ideally ages 6-16.
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to inspire and maintain student engagement.
- Willingness to learn and expand STEM teaching skills, including curriculum development.
- Ability to design and implement STEM projects tailored to young learners.
- Prior experience in hands-on STEM programs such as coding, robotics, or engineering.
- A Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Familiarity with tools such as Scratch, Lego WeDo/EV3, Tinkercad, or 3D printing is a strong asset.
- CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to complete certification within the first month of employment.
- Valid G license and/or access to reliable transportation.
