**Position Title**:Gatehouse Supervisor

The **Gatehouse Supervisor **will be responsible to oversee operations of the Guardhouse and ensure staff are trained on all equipment and procedures. This position is Monday to Friday, but may have potential overtime covering shifts as required.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

- Ensures attendants are accurately allowing visitors on site and following proper protocol
- Maintain ISN by checking status and verification of employee training completion and report results to Safety Manager
- Knowledge and ability to operate Word, Excel, Access, Outlook and PC&R
- Work with maintenance planners to organize and pre-approve contractors prior to site entry
- Coordinate with Safety Manager on account management
- Effectively communicate with contractors on access limitations if neccesary
- Assist in weighing shipping trucks where required, ensures all staff are trained
- Ensures staff are checking seals on shipping containers
- Communicate with facility for any concerns or questions related to trucks
- Maintain daily clear communication with both internal and external parties
- Ensures staff are documenting shipping truck numbers, trailer numbers and ingoing/outgoing weights
- Create and implement policies and procedures
- Ability to keep calm in a busy and demanding environment
- Professional communication with plant staff, particularly when connecting visitors and contractors with plant contacts
- Ensures staff are maintaining the operation of gates to allow people onsite and prevent access if neccesary

Required Qualifications:

- Must have proven history of safe work habits, and drive this across the team by promoting and adhering to company safe work rules and regulations
- ISN and PC&R experience an asset, but not required
- Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively complete tasks in a busy environment
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Able to exercise good judgement in making decisions relative to their work space
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize efficiently using effective time management and organizational skills
- Must have strong communication skills, ability to follow detail oriented instructions, and able to maintain good working relationships with Supervision and co-workers as well as ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Must be an effective leader, capable of organizing an entire team and developing growth and cross training plans to strengthen team
- Ability to work on a rotating shift basis on occasion
- Must be willing to work in a team based atmosphere
