We are seeking peer support workers to provide assistance on Sunday 7AM-3PM shifts at The Farm At Stouffville (6482 Bloomington Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 2Z5). PSWs will support mental health services for clients with a variety of challenges. This will include:

- Facilitating groups
- Supervising and supporting clients
- Coordinate with the addiction counsellors
- Support safety of clients and staff
- Participating in in-house peer consultation/supervision and staff training programs
- SMART Recovery Facilitator, CRAFT, and Family and Friends training an asset

We are an evidence-based and culturally competent care practice. We are seeking peer support counsellors to join a dynamic and growing practice

Qualifications:

- A University degree or College diploma in a relevant area of health-related discipline along with formal training in addiction or peer support counseling
- Three years of relevant experience in providing services to individuals who live with an addiction issue
- Ability to provide support in group and individual settings, assessment, supportive counseling, and referral in the field of addictions and harm reduction
- Ability to effectively utilize community resources such as peer support groups
- Ability to work on-site at The Farm (6482 Bloomington Rd, Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON L4A 2Z5)
- Working knowledge on the various harm reduction practices and models
- Strong English communication skills, verbal and written
- SMART Recovery Facilitator, CRAFT, and Family and Friends training an asset

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
