Conrad Transport Limited was incorporated in 1978, today we operate a fleet of 25 truck and 90 trailers that service Eastern Canadian and US seaboard with container trucking services from the port of Halifax and CP/CN Rail. Conrad Transport Limited is currently seeking a **Logistics/Dispatch Supervisor** to join our team.

Reporting to the General Manager, the **Logistics/Dispatch Supervisor** will be responsible for, but not limited to:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations.
- Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments
- Monitor routes, traffic conditions, and weather forecasts to optimize delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, routes, and driver activities.
- Planning preventative maintenance for the fleet.
- Oversee and assist with the maintenance of records and documentation for compliance.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
- Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity.
- Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of vehicles and goods.
- Monitor companies’ performance, prepare reports for profit and loss, and plan for changes to schedules and policies - Recruit and supervise staff.
- Liaise with Freight Forwarders regarding both new and upcoming work.
- Establish and implement policies and standards for the transportation and storage of goods.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify process bottlenecks and areas for improvement with regarding to warehousing.
- Recruit and supervise staff.
- Conduct performance reviews against staff performance.

**Requirements**:

- Must have 5 years proven experience in dispatching and logistics, preferably in the container transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Proficiency in computer systems and transportation management software.

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
