**Current Rate of Pay**: Min $23.13- Max $ 23.88

**Current Shifts**: Primarily Days - (Monday - Friday, 800a.m.12:30p.m)

**Position Summary**:
The GGH Pharmacy Department provides medication management services to the entire hospital including not only drug distribution but clinical pharmacy support. The progressive pharmacy department has a commitment to patient care, patient safety and continuous learning.

The Pharmacy Administrative Assistant (Clerk Typist) provides administrative support to the Pharmacy Leadership team including, Director of Pharmacy, Lead Technician and Pharmacist Clinical Coordinator. This includes support for the day to day administrative activities of the Pharmacy Department, as well as performing other duties related to the management/operations of the department. These include responsibilities related to human resources, finance, meetings and calendar management.

**Qualifications, Experience, Skills and Abilities**:

- Medical Office Administration Program certificate and/or recent related medical office experience
- Medical Terminology course with demonstrated working knowledge
- Experience working with Meditech preferred
- Experience in a Pharmacy setting preferred
- Intermediate computer skills with 55 wpm keyboarding, intermediate level with Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated organizational and record keeping skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service when interacting with patients, families, colleagues and regulated health professionals including physicians
