Blow Mold Support

The Blow Mold Support will focus and ensure that the blow mold machines do not stop due to lack of material infeed or lack of capacity to pack bottles. They also provide support to the blow molding supervisor, technician and mechanic during mold changeovers, maintenance or repairs.
- Confirm the correct material are used (resin, color, pallets, gaylords, liners) as per requirements.
- Monitor the quality of bottles being produced by the machine.
- Remove any products that do not meet quality standards.
- Maintain a tally and log of all bottles produced as well as all off-quality/discarded bottle generated, per shift and per machine.
- Organizing resin bags.
- Ensure all packaging containers (pallets and gaylords) comply with safety and quality specifications.
- Ensure all gaylords have a clean plastic liner before start filling them with bottles, as well as to close the liner once the gaylords are full.
- Report to the Blow Mold Supervisor any abnormality in the machines as well as any quality issue observed on the bottles.
- Support the molding supervisor, technician or mechanic during changeovers, maintenance and repairs by assisting in moving parts, cleaning u other activity, always considering the safety of the task.
- Follow all Safe Operating Procedures
- Must wear all PPE and adhere to all safety standards
- Participate in training as required.
- Report any accidents, incidents, injuries or illnesses immediately and notifies the Supervisor
- Maintain a tidy and safe workplace at all times
- Report spills or mistakes to Supervisor
- Report faulty and broken equipment to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned.
- Communicate and exchange work related information with relieving shift workers.
Job Requirements
- Be very responsible for attendance, as the molding operates 7 days a week and any absenteeism can cause production interruptions.
- Attention to details, in particular about quality of bottles and machine changes/noises/abnormalities.
- Handling of wooden pallets, cardboard gaylords (empty and full), and plastic liners
- Timing filling reports of productions and scrap.
- Be able to stand for long period of time.
- Be able to work shifts of 12 hours
- Straight - Days 7am to 7pm or Straight Nights 7pm to 7am
- Be able to work on weekends (both days pending on rotation of shifts)
Work schedule is a two week rotation of:
First Week - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Second Week - Wednesday, Thursday
**Salary**: $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 34.5 per week
