At Shift, we are looking to attract diverse, kind-hearted, and passionate people in search of a career in the renewables industry. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Support Technician to join our Project Administration team based in Victoria, BC.

**In the role, you will**:
**Provide internal IT Support**:

- Provide timely technical assistance to employees through various channels.
- Set up, configure, and maintain hardware devices (desktops, laptops, printers).
- Implement and maintain security measures, including antivirus and firewalls.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, and account-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to company IT policies.
- Assist in enforcing security and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with external vendors for support and replacements.
- Communicate issue resolution progress and follow-ups with users.

**Provide Solar Technical Support**:

- Troubleshoot issues with solar online monitoring
- Create and triage tickets for clients
- Provide clear communication to clients, both verbally and written
- Provide the Client with remote troubleshooting, maintenance, and installation of equipment
- Recognize and escalate more difficult or urgent cases
- Manage and record all work through our Ticketing System and liaise with the field team for support calls
- Prepare FAQs and best practice guidelines
- Provide ideas to develop and streamline the technical support process and tool kit

**Job Requirements**:

**Professional Experience**:

- 3-5 years of IT support or helpdesk experience.
- 0-3 years of solar support experience.
- 1- 3 years of customer service experience.
