Located in Gunn, Alberta, the Lakeview Recovery Community supports men living with addiction on their journey to a sustainable recovery. We deliver a full continuum of addiction recovery support in a community environment, focusing on healing and personal growth. Our goal is that individuals leave Lakeview with the life skills, tools, and resources to maintain long-term wellness and sustain recovery and having nurtured healthy relationships with friends and family.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Intake Manager will play a vital role in the admissions process and serve as the first point of contact for individuals seeking treatment for addiction. The Intake Manager will be responsible for managing the intake process from initial inquiry to admission, ensuring a seamless and supportive experience for our clients and their families.

**Role-specific Accountabilities**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and risk management plans for potential clients to determine their recovery needs, including substance abuse history, medical history, and mental health status.
- To fully coordinate the admissions process, including conducting pre-admission screenings, and completing necessary paperwork. Working collaboratively with other Senior Leads to ensure suitability of placement.
- Ensure effective communication and oversight of all admissions, arranging support on the day of arrival.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, their families, and referring agencies providing information about our programs, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client intake information, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in outreach activities to promote Lakeview Recovery Community and build relationships with referral sources, such as healthcare providers, therapists, and community organizations.
- Devise and implement promotional initiatives for Lakeview Recovery Community.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of addiction treatment and contribute ideas for improving intake processes and procedures.
- Oversee the Intake team and provide leadership and guidance to the department.
- Facilitate a range of group and individual activities which are responsive to the recovery needs of clients and the community.
- Support the delivery of the Therapeutic Community program.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- 2 years of leadership experience in the addiction field.
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to lead by example.
- At least three years of experience in intake coordination, admissions, or a related role in the healthcare or addiction treatment field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with clients and build collaborative relationships with colleagues.
- Knowledge of addiction and mental health disorders, as well as treatment modalities and resources.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals struggling with addiction.
- 2 years of leadership experience in the addiction field.
- Successfully complete and pass a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Record Check prior to initiating employment and annually thereafter.
- Clearance to be on premises by the Director of Corrections.
