Accounting Clerk

Hours of work will be Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Preparation of bi-weekly payroll.
- Remit Payroll remittances, ROEs, T4s, etc.
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable related duties.
- Maintain general ledgers and post journal entries.
- Bank reconciliations and daily cash flow.
- Prepare for weekly accounts meetings.
- Prepare Month End Financial Statements.
- Preparation and payment of payment certificates.
- Preparation and posting of monthly progress bills.
- Management of all banking and investment related activities.
- Preparation and payment of HST / all government remittances.
- Reconciliation and payment of credit card statements.
- Management of accounting for other related companies.
- Ensure operational and internal controls are operating effectively.
- Arrange and manage wage subsidy programs.
- Remit Apprentice hours as required.
- Other duties as required.
The Requirements
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance, preferably in a construction environment
- Experience with Jonas Accounting software is not required but considered an asset.
- Strong work ethic with motivation to learn new things.
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Possess a strong proficiency with computers and software tools.
- Must reliably commute to and from the office.
