**Working for the Augustana Faculty**

Augustana enrolls over 1000 undergraduate students in baccalaureate degree programs on a residential campus in the city of Camrose, 90 kilometers southeast of Edmonton. The Campus is located on Treaty Six territory which provided a traveling route and home to the Cree, Blackfoot, and Metis, as it did for the Nakoda, Tsuu T’ina and Chipewyan, and other Indigenous peoples. Their spiritual and practical relationships to the land create a rich heritage and ongoing model for our learning and our life as a community.

**Position**

Alberta Centre for Sustainable Rural Communities (ACSRC) is based at the University of Alberta's Augustana Campus in Camrose, Alberta, and is founded on a core partnership with the Faculty of Agricultural, Life and Environmental Sciences. The Centre is expected to develop a reputation for relevant, high-quality, accessible research and public programming that is politically non-partisan and committed to the well-being of rural communities.

The Assistant Professor must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse constituencies, successfully secure grant funding, and be instrumental in providing opportunities for the sharing and dissemination of research on rural communities. Additional responsibilities include supervising graduate and undergraduate research, teaching, and managing the ACSRC office.
