Purpose:
Position: Mobility Service Technician

Location: Ontario Medical Supply (OMS) -Kingston

Reports to: Mobility & Rental Supervisor

No. of Positions: 1

ATR: 4501

Type: Full time, Permanent

**Salary**: Hourly, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:

- Complete all Service calls assigned by Dispatch and notify the customer one hour before estimated arrival;
- Diagnose customer equipment and determine proper solution;
- Document all service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records as determined necessary by the Service Supervisor;
- Address customer concerns and investigate problematic orders/returns to ensure appropriate resolution (and repossession if required);
- Gather all component details for parts to be ordered from Manufacturer and provide subsequent quote to customer;
- Provide 24/7 on-call Emergency Service as part of a rotational schedule;
- Ensure that Inventory present in staff-assigned vehicle bin is secured at all times;
- Updates job knowledge by participating in various Service Department educational and certification in-services;
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner and follow all Service Department Health and Safety procedures and protocols;
- Ensure Service vehicle and work areas are kept clean and organized;

Qualifications:

- Full driver’s license in the province of their practice and clean driver’s abstract
- Experience in a customer service role is essential;
- Understanding the sales process is beneficial;
- Health and safety training is an asset;
- Industry experience considered an asset
- Inventory Management training is an asset.
- Field technical experience in a relevant industry is an asset
- Demonstrate customer service excellence
- Background check is required

**Skills**:

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and in writing;
- Ability to work proficiently within a team environment as well as independently;
- Ability to remain organized and to prioritize workloads;
- Technical aptitude is required;
