Early Childhood Educator

Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for children in accordance with the curriculum
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide guidance and support to children in their social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and behavior
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked

**Skills**:

- Organizational skills: Ability to effectively plan and manage daily activities for a group of children
- Early childhood education: Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Computer skills: We use Hi-Mama app for documentation through out the day.
- English language proficiency: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Childcare experience: Previous experience working with young children in a childcare setting
- Leadership skills: Ability to lead a classroom and effectively manage student behavior
- Special education knowledge: Familiarity with special education strategies and accommodations for diverse learners
- Writing skills: Ability to write reports, lesson plans, and other documentation accurately and professionally
- Educational background: Must have a valid criminal record check and first aid. ECE training would be an asset
